SyMO-Chem contributed to progress in in-situ HV tissue engineering

The article “In situ heart valve tissue engineering using a bioresorbable elastomeric implant – From material design to 12 months follow-up in sheep” has been published in Biomaterials. It describes the results of a collaborative effort by various groups led by Prof. C.V.C. Bouten (TU/e). SyMO-Chem, particularly Serge Söntjens, has contributed by designing and preparing the biodegradable biomaterial that has been used for the electrospun heart valve (HV) implant.
