What can
SyMO-Chem do for you?
Contract research
activities that can be conducted in our lab vary from the execution of complete
research tasks, to syntheses of compounds or polymers that you are interested
in, to (simple) analyses of samples delivered by you, and, finally, to
consultation. Next examples might give a better idea of the possibilities:
-
You want to
test certain tailor-made organic materials or polymers in an application.
You want us to perform the syntheses, to do the molecular characterization
and to deliver these tailor-made materials to you. Possibly, you want us to
investigate certain material properties as well (mechanical testing, thermal
tests, basic formulation tests, spectroscopic tests, etc.).
-
You want to
use the state-of-the-art analytical equipment that is available in our lab.
Discuss with us what kind of measurements you want us to conduct and send us
the samples of interest. We will then perform the required analyses, send
the results back and discuss the outcome with you. See for analytical
equipment, the
Facilities section.
-
You have a
special interest in a specific activity within the Laboratory of
Macromolecular and Organic Chemistry, i.e. the research groups of
prof.dr. E.W. Meijer or
prof.dr.ir. R.A.J. Janssen (e.g.,
dendrimer chemistry, supramolecular chemistry,
π-conjugated polymers, solar cells, etc.), and you want us to perform
(feasibility) studies to see if the attained knowledge can be used in
applications that are relevant for your company.
For research
activities on supramolecular polymers based on the quadruple hydrogen bonding
ureidopyrimidinone group (UPy-unit), you are referred to
SupraPolix, a company that is commercialising the use of this
technology.
Contact
us, if one of the above applies to your situation, or if you have further
questions or requests. |
